"My Camera is my Passport" - Steve McCurry

A still photograph is something which you can always go back to. You can put it on your wall and look at it again and again. Because it is that frozen moment. I think it tends to burn into your psyche. It becomes ingrained in your mind. A powerful picture becomes iconic of a place or a time or a situation. - Steve McCurry.

Hey everyone,
Yesterday me and my mom decided to go see the Steve McCurry exhibition at the Royal Villa of Monza, a small town close to Milan (and the town where I was born).
The show was absolutely amazing and I was absolutely impressed by how many emotions a picture can convey.
I 100% recommend to go see the show, or just look at some of his pictures because they are really really worth it.
I will post below some of my favorite pictures. Hope you like them and let me know what you think!
Stay tuned for more.

Laska: il Tour.

Hey everyone,
Okay I have to take a break form my posts in english perché l'esperienza di ieri sera mi porta a scrivere un post in italiano.

Stay tuned for more.

The Ghost City.

Hey everyone,
Finally after a long long time a new post!
These past months I've been pretty busy with college and exams; but now that the lessons started again I have some more "free time".
So today me and mama (aka my personal photographer) decided to go to Consonno, which is a ghost city north from Milan.
We took some rather good pictures that I will link below.
Let me know what you think!

Stay tuned for more.

P.S.
My whole outfit is from Zara (Newsflash!) besides my Stan Smith and my Steve Madden purse.

Something Good.

Well well well I have to say that I had a very unusual Valentine's Day.
Since me and my lovely friend Marta are so indie we sometimes can't even handle it we decided to overturn traditions and celebrate Valentine's Day in an unusual way.
Oh yes, you bet we went to see Alt-J live!
I personally have always listened to music that basically none of my friends know but as soon as I found out that Marta liked Alt-J as much as I do (plus I had just found out that they were coming to Milan for a gig) I couldn't let that chance go away so we decided to go the concert.
Probably one of the best decisions I have ever made.
The concert was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. and sublime.
Inside there you could breathe grunge and "indie-ness", which is totally fine with me LoL.
They opened the concert with one of my favorite song, Hunger of the Pine, so I soon knew that it was going to be an awesome gig, and it so was.
I'm not much of a "concert person" but this one was for sure the best one I saw.
And for all y'all who were wondering, yes, that's why I have a triangle tattooed on my finger!

Well, if you don't know Alt-J you should give them a chance because they're definitely worth it!

Stay tuned for more.

A Weekend in Review.

Hey everyone,
Well finally this past weekend shifted form my "usual weekends" and it was pretty DOPE! My girl Kenzie (directly from America), who's studying in Rome for a semester, came to Milan to visit and I got the chance to play the tourist guide and show her around Milan.
Even though her staying was rather short I managed to show her the city, or at least the most important parts of it; we basically explored the centre of the city, churches and modern art museums, all of this topped with the usual Saturday night's Happy Hour (or, as we call it, Aperitivo).
We had a lot of fun and practiced our best American slang yo!
Kenzie, I hope you liked Milan and we will for sure get together soon, either in Italy or in Chicago!

Stay tuned for more.

P.S. I will post below some pictures I took while we were city - lurking :)

Let it sNOw.

So, apparently the "big snow storm" that Milan was waiting for is here.
I've said it once, I've said it twice and I've said it a thousand times, I can't stand snow, especially in the city. (I know you were probably expecting a Bring Me the Horizon quote here but ehhh not gonna happen).
As far as I remember I've never been much of a snow lover and that's probably why karma sent me to Minnesota (also known as MinneSNOWta) for my exchange year.
I have to say that I don't totally dislike, you know, those cute little snowy landscapes with all the cute little wood houses with fireplaces and carpets made probably from the fur of the bear killed just the day before during that exciting hunting trip. Actually I just like seeing them in pictures but still.
Let's go back to the main point here, snow in a big city like Milan....nuh huh. The city becomes absolutely baloney and most of all none seems to remember how to drive a car; which is just my personal opinion but some of you may agree with me.
I mean, it's all fun and games until you come home resembling a damn snowball.

So, do you wanna build a snowman? Nah maybe not.

Let me know what you think about the snow in the city but remember that in these situations I turn into the Grinch ;)

Stay tuned for more.

And I Got Inked Again.

Hey everyone,
This is gonna be a quick little entry because I want to show you my two new little tattoos.
Yes, I got them on my fingers again. I know it may sound weird but I think that finger tattoos are very stylish and cute.
I don't really have a reason why I got them, I mean, I got them 'cause I really love the look of them and not because they have a specific meaning.
I hope you like them and feel free to tell me what you think.
I will post below a picture of me pretending not to suffer while I was getting inked LoL.

Stay tuned for more.
